This Level 2 camera assistant/digital utility course follows the Level 1 FLM PRD 120 camera assistant/digital utility course. This class builds and expands on skills acquired in FLM PRD 120. The goal of the class is to teach students the skills necessary to work as a camera assistant with particular emphasis on working as a loader and digital utility on union productions. It includes lecture and hands-on lab time for the students to practice and drill skills including loading, monitor setup, camera settings and concepts, department paperwork and working collaboratively with other crew. This class requires outstanding math and communication skills.

This course gives you the skills needed to secure paid work in the Camera department on non-union productions.
